For thousands of years explorers have used the walking stick as a third leg when the going gets tough. But here in Duluth, one might say the going stays tough. A Recreational Sports Outdoor Program (RSOP) event titled "Walk with Your Hand" drew many adventurous individuals to the Sports and Health Center at UMD as instructors showed interested outdoor enthusiasts how to carve walking sticks from large chunks of Diamond willow trees.… Post the First Comment
