Weekly Rundown: Football, volleyball, and x-country

Football
The No. 10 ranked Bulldogs crushed Minnesota State-Moorhead last Saturday, 52-10.
Sophomore Isaac Odim scored after a 1-yard run in the first, getting the early lead.
Shortly after, senior quarterback Ted Schlafke scored on a 5-yard run, the score now 14-0.
Moorhead kicked a 31-yard field goal, but it would only prove to be a small beacon of hope.
UMD proceeded on a scoring rampage, starting with a 45-yard field goal from freshman kicker David Nadeau.
Odim scored again after a 2-yard run, making the score 24-3.
Freshman extradionare D.J. Winfield scored right after Odim on a 46-yard pass from Schlafke, according to the UMD Web site.
Incrediblely, with only 41 seconds left before halftime, sophomore Noah Pauley scored after a 19-yard pass from Schlafke.
Odim proved to be unstoppable as he scored yet again in the 3rd, after a 2-yard run, according to the UMD Web site.
Winfield followed his lead and scored another touchdown, this time after a 12-yard pass from Schlafke.
Moorhead scored a touchdown in the fourth, but the damage was done.
The Dogs dominated play, 52-10.
UMD will host Northern State this Saturday on Malosky Field at 1 p.m.
Volleyball
The Bulldogs lost on the road, falling to No. 23-ranked Augustana College, 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 14-25, 13-25).
Stand-out players included junior Sarah Wyffels, who had eight digs and two block assists, and senior Katie Gangelhoff, who had 32 set assists, 13 digs and four kills, according to the UMD Web site.
Senior Lindsey Clairmont also had nine kills, along with freshman Hannah Johnson who had four.
The team will travel home to host St. Cloud State University this Friday in Romano Gym at 7 p.m.
CROSS COUNTRY
Freshman Morgan Place has done it again.
Place won her fourth individual championship at the Blugold Open in Colfax, Wis. this weekend.
Senior Liz Palkie followed behind her in seventh place and sophomore Bridget Hines snuck in at eighth.
The men finished seventh, with a stand-out performance by senior Tyler Bjorhus, who placed 26th.
Other noteworthy runners included senior Nathen Anderson (31st), sophomores Erik Escher (51st), Keagan Marble (57th) and freshman Kyle Larson (65th).
The team will host the Pine Hill Invitational this Saturday at the Pine Hill Golf Course in Carlton, Minn. at 10:45 a.m.
