The Bulldogs had more kills, assists and digs then Wayne State and were led by junior middle blocker Sarah Wyffels who has been a major contributor all year. Wyffels slammed 21 kills and had a .400 hit percentage and played outstanding defensively with 14 digs and three blocks on the day, according to the UMD Web site. Senior setter Katie Gangelhoff had a match leading 60 set assists on in Thursday's game, which happened to be her birthday, and lived to see another day of her Bulldog career. Sophomore outside hitter Jamie Lakatos also played well with 19 kills and senior middle blocker Lindsey Clairmont pounded out 10 kills as well.
"It was a back and forth match and was very exciting," head volleyball coach Jim Boos said.

Jacobsen didn't do it all for UMD with Wyffels piling up 23 digs, while Gangelhoff added 17 digs and 57 set assists. Sophomore outside hitter Brenda Hansen was lethal from the service line a match high four service aces, according to the UMD Web site, rounding out what was a great team effort for the Bulldogs.
