It's that time again: late-night cramming, group projects and extra stress and anxiety. For most students, final exams take a physical toll on the body. Our nutrition suffers, we get inadequate amounts of sleep and there's just not enough time for the gym. But really, if we prioritize right, finals week doesn't have to be so unhealthy.

Convenience foods are quick and easy. Although Domino's pizza might hit the spot at 10 p.m. while you cram for that test, and the full throttle energy drink keeps you going all night long, there really are better, fresher food options. Try the following fresh food replacements and ditch the typical Finals Week food slip-ups:

As for the sleep issues, what's wrong with starting the study process early? Start "cramming" now, and get seven to eight hours of sleep before your exams when it matters most.

Lastly, don't let finals bury you from the gym. During finals week, fitness class participants typically drop and there's suddenly an excess of treadmills and ellipticals. Physical activity really will help your concentration, focus and overall exam scores. Make a point to get 30 to 60 minutes of exercise everyday during your finals.

You have the time: Buy the groceries, plan out your study schedule and set your exercise goals for the upcoming week. Let the fresh foods, proper sleep and physical activity carry you through your spring finals with success.
